DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENTS AND TUITION IN BRISTOL, BATH & SOMERSET
Full Diagnostic Assessments for Dyslexia (7-16 year olds) include:
A variety of tasks to assess underlying ability, spelling, writing, reading and reading comprehension skills, along with a range of tests to assess working memory, speed of processing and phonological awareness.
The assessment session can take up to 3 hours. Following the assessment session, a detailed report will be completed and emailed within 15 working days.
The report will include an overview which summarises the child's cognitive profile. It will include a diagnosis of dyslexia if this is supported by the assessment and detailed recommendations.
This report can be used for access arrangements for exams and can be used for DSA purposes.
Costs, approach and availability:

£500 for a full diagnostic dyslexic assessment for children aged 7-16.​

£100 non-returnable deposit is required to secure a date, with the final amount payable 48 hours before the day of the assessment.

Current availability (Bristol, BS9) within 1-2 months of enquiry, subject to my availability at that time.

What to expect
Before the assessment can take place, you can expect an email containing information about the assessment. This email will provide details about the assessment location, instructions on what you need to do beforehand, and a list of items to bring with you on the assessment day. Additionally, you will need to complete a parent questionnaire, which is an essential part of the process.
As part of the requirements, you are kindly asked to send a questionnaire to the school and complete a visual difficulties questionnaire. Please click the link provided below to download the questionnaires. Once downloaded, please forward to the class teacher or SENCO. These need to be returned before the assessment can take place.

Please note, the pack is downloadable as a compressed .zip file. It contains .pdf and .docx files. We recommend downloading on a desktop PC/Mac.
